In an era of flourishing love, Silas was once known as The Penumbral King, and ruled alongside his beloved Queen Vierna. Adorned in regal attire, his crown bore branches sprouting crimson blossoms, illustrating their flourishing bond. With a shoulder pauldron echoing this natural motif, he carried a single red rose, a token of his devotion to Vierna.
As they traversed the lush gardens, Silas's eyes, unclouded by darkness, mirrored the radiance of his queen's smile. Their love was a portrait of harmony, resonating through the verdant realm they cherished. Beneath the canopy of ancient trees, they walked hand in hand, their whispers of affection blending with the gentle rustle of leaves.
In those halcyon days, Silas knew no fear, for he was ensconced in the warmth of Vierna's love. Together, they faced every challenge with unwavering resolve, their bond as unbreakable as the branches of the sacred trees that adorned their kingdom.

Silas wrapped his silver hair around a withered branch. His fingertips pierced his chest, and a ray of light seeped from the wound—the first thread of his soul. Strand by strand, he drew out his own soul. His body dimmed inch by inch, yet his hands grew ever steadier. The threads of his soul and his silver hair intertwined on the withered branch, taking shape as a bow. When it was complete, the withered wood let out a low hum. He no longer needed arrows. Every arrow he shot was a piece of himself.
The Drakesbane
Changes his DMG type to Magic, and each ATK inflicts . Awakened V now increases the target's M. DMG taken by 15% instead.
Years later, Silas returned to that cave. The corpse of the undead dragon was still frozen in its final roar, with bone spikes piercing its upper and lower jaws, forcing its massive mouth open. He walked into the mouth and placed the bow inside the dragon. The corpse began to dissipate—not into decay, but into blue fluorescent dust. The dragon's remains reshaped the bow's limbs, and the dragon's soul condensed into its string.

Fall From Grace
"The crater formed upon his fall from grace goes deeper than any among us could fathom."
- Elven Shaman of the Elder Woods
When the Elves first settled in The Elder Woods, they discovered a cavern containing magical crystals used for augmenting their finely crafted armaments. Miners were conscripted, and expeditions were fruitful for many years until they delved too deep, releasing an undead dragon from eons of confinement. With the dragon ravaging their homeland, the Elves looked to their leader--Silas, now known as The Blind King, for answers.
Silas and his beloved Queen, Vierna, debated paths forward. Vierna was keen on protecting the Elves and slaying the creature herself. After all, the powerful royal duo had already slain two dragons before. But Silas was adamant this was different--this was an undead dragon. Their spells and arms would be rendered useless against its might. Silas was distraught with fear of losing his Queen in battle.
Without Vierna's knowledge, Silas ventured alone into a damned quadrant of the forest realm to request aid from cursed, trapped spirits. His desperation to do anything to prevent losing his Queen gained the attention of powerful, damned being. It proposed a deal: it would craft him a deatheater weapon, one that could pierce through the veil of the undead, at the cost of his eyes. He'd never be able to lay sight upon his beloved Vierna again.
Silas agreed. The King's eyes were plucked as sacrifice, and he was gifted a jagged bow from the branches of a foul tree. Now Silas' vision came from the cursed bow itself, and with it he secretly slew the undead dragon.
But the spirit had tricked the king. Needing only one eye for the crafting of the bow, it used the other for its own liberation and unleashed a blight upon The Elder Woods, destroying many of the sacred trees worshipped by the Elves. Silas had saved his people from one terror and subjected them to another.
His spirit decimated by what he'd done, Silas could not face his people--especially not Vierna. What would his beloved think of him? And how could she accept him with his ghastly new face? The Blind King set off in search of the White Tower, hoping the mages there could reverse the spirit's curse and breathe life into the Elder Woods once more. Only after he fixed his mistakes could he bear to face his Queen again.
