0Hell's Arbiter
"I will pour his rage on our cause like oil to an inferno." -Hell's Sixth Seat, Wrath. While the mighty Mosune Empire is regarded as a beacon of authority and opulence, countless sacrifices were made to ensure its success. One entailed surrendering an entire village to be used as fodder, which in turn sparked the creation of Magmus, Hell's Arbiter. Serving as a corporal in the Mosune Army, Magmus' wife had just delivered their first child when reports of war broke out with the Nordshire Cemetery. Summoned to the front lines, he left them behind to defend the empire. Weeks on end of grisly fighting ensued, and Magmus prayed nightly for the safety of his small family. On the eve of a great battle, the young corporal received word that his home village was to be invaded in the morning, yet no troops would be spared to defend it- the Mosune Empire considered the act a casualty of war. Abandoning his post before the battle, Magmus rode home to find his village burnt to the ground. Sifting through the ashes of his home, he discovered the charred skeleton of his wife, still cradling their infant child. His wails echoed across Tya. Taking great offense to the desertion, the empire sent a small force to execute Magmus in an effort to dissuade others from following suit. Enraged, he singlehandedly cut down the detachment, savagely beheading each man. No soldiers could be spared to save his home, and yet here they were seeking to end him? His fury against such audacity was so profound it garnered the attention of Wrath himself- Hell's Sixth Seat. Appearing in ethereal form, Wrath called to Magmus, summoning him to the Infernal Volcano with the promise that his wife and child's lives would be restored. Magmus answered the summoning, journeying east to the peak of the volcano itself where he struck a deal with Wrath, who sought to use the man's rage for his favor. In exchange for becoming an arbiter for the damned, conscripted to transform condemned souls into demons, Wrath would make good on reviving his family. Magmus agreed, even though the pact decreed that he would never see them again. The grief-maddened soldier descended into the molten heart of the volcano, emerging with a flaming sword as Hell's Arbiter. Unfathomably proud of his creation, Wrath unleashed Magmus unto Tya, who trained his sights specifically on the Mosune Empire.
