"All the world is his banquet… his hunger knows no bounds." -Greed Funny thing it is, how many view excess. Though all among us could, in theory, feast upon the marrow of life in equal measures, many would rather see their cups overflowing than fill their neighbor's to an equal brim. Just as great snakes unhinge their jaws for monstrous meals, Kings gorge themselves to early deaths while their people starve… The difference being, of course, that the snake acts out of instinct. Hell's Fifth Seat, better known simply as "Gluttony," was formed from the sinewy threads of surplus, and would guzzle the world whole if given the chance. Insatiable in nature, Gluttony devours all in his path with a vigor that would shrivel the wet flesh of a maggot. In fact, like a maggot, no meal is out of bounds- this includes his own kind. Abhorred by other demons for his indifference to cannibalism, he is naturally bereft of any ally or friend. It's anyone's guess where he acquired his insatiable appetite, but to come between him and a meal would certainly spell a trip to his acid-filled bowels. Many demonologists theorize that, should Tya's occupants do away with their own piggish tendencies, Gluttony might simply vanish into the primordial ether from whence he first slithered. Since that will likely never be the case, he remains unchallenged in his uncomplicated quest to fill his mouth with the dripping fat of humanoid indulgence. You cannot use him, you cannot reason with him, and that is what makes him so grotesquely terrifying. Go forth and be good little boys and girls, take only what you need, and you may in turn avoid being gnashed to a fleshy pulp by his rotting, pointed teeth.
