0The Diaries, Part II
Ah! More memories are coming back. The hourglass wasn't very talkative. Mostly it whispered a word or two, then expected me to figure everything else out myself. Still, one thing was clear: It wanted me to keep exploring. So I wandered through the underworld, which turned out to be much larger than I'd hoped. Everywhere I went, strange people stopped me to say mysterious things. One solemn fellow told me to seek the exit. A gloomy lady insisted I had responsibilities to fulfill. Another poor soul kept calling us pawns trapped inside a cruel game. I looked all around for the board, but never found it. Nobody explained anything! Fortunately, I've discovered that if you nod enough, people assume you understand exactly what's going on (I absolutely did not). Along the way, I stumbled across peculiar shrines that filled me with a profound new strength. They tingled something fierce. I also met a very large guardian who seemed quite determined to stop me, which I found rather impolite. Thankfully, he kept his shield attached with what I can only describe as extreme optimism. After that fight, the hourglass grew warm in my hands. It seemed... content. The next thing I knew, I was wearing a magnificent suit of armor. Slightly oversized, but still dashing nonetheless. The rest is still a little hazy for now, but maybe I'll remember more later!
