Such is Azhor's betrayal of the Dwarven Kingdom that his name is considered eztan or unspeakable, to even say it is a great taboo that could lead to a Dwarf being imprisoned. The second-born son of a poor blacksmith in the Dwarven Kingdom, Azhor was desperate to prove himself and spent his youth watching his father making simple mining tools. As his father worked tirelessly for a pittance, Azhor decided he would follow a different path and focus instead on weapons, saying he would craft weapons as mighty as Mount Azkitz. Azhor showed natural talent and was taken on to work in a great smithery for Dwarven armor, specifically making helmets. He grew bored with this and instead started making weapons from his own designs and despite being reprimanded by the smithery foreman, he was taken on by a master blacksmith, Bizal, responsible for making many of the axes for elite Dwarven soldiers. With a chance to prove himself, Azhor swore he would not waste this opportunity and took it upon himself to learn how to craft legendary weapons. He heard rumors of a type of metal that was so sharp, it could slice the air in two and spark a devastating explosion. Yet this metal was forbidden, hidden at the bottom of a dark chasm said to be possessed by an unspeakable evil, to the Dwarves the face of evil itself. Dismissing this as superstition and seeing an opportunity to win fame by forging a powerful weapon in the fight against the Vampires, Azhor presumably went into this chasm for he made a sword from this forbidden material and presented it to his master. To have done so, the Dwarves believe, he must have looked deep into the face of evil. Instead of being proud, Bizal was horrified by Azhor's arrogance. He had made a forbidden weapon from a material that, in the wrong hands, could destroy the Dwarven Kingdom. Azhor was promptly seized by the guards and exiled, the Dwarven rune for "exile" carved on his face. Furious and with his research and beautiful weapons seized, Azhor traveled Tya in search of a new master and found it one day while selling his wares in the Mosune Empire. A Demon in disguise as a noblewoman offered Azhor a job where he would be free to make whatever weapons he pleased, so long as they were given to the organization she worked with: the Nightmare Council. Azhor then traveled to the Infernal Volcano where he serves as the council's supreme craftsman, making weapons for them from the magma of its great forge. He cares not whether his weapons are used by Dwarves or Demons, just that they are the most destructive and beautiful weapons imaginable. Still bearing the tattoos of his clan yet wearing a mask forged to hide his scarred face, he crafts extraordinary weapons, determined to make the forbidden weapon that led to his exile once more so he can use it against those who banished him and have his revenge on the Dwarven Kingdom.
